Includes the one-page errata and index at the rear. Golden brown calf leather covered boards with moderate edgewear, scuffing, scratching and soil. The outer layer of leather is a secondary layer that was bound and stitched over the original leather binding, and over the gilt title on the spine a square hole was cut in the second layer of leather for it to show through. The edging of the hole is neatly stitched, and has some tears and small chips missing. Head of spine has some 1/2'' tears and some chipping. The spine is lightly faded and has some wear and creasing along sides. Hinges are weakening. Rest of binding is strong, save for last several pages which are coming loose and are heavily chipped, torn, creased and worn. Interior has moderate browning, foxing and scattered soil spots. The last page containing text has some small, old bits of tape clinging to the edges. Rear fep has a large piece of one corner gone, about 3.5'' x 2.5''. Few small insect holes to pastedowns. Circa 1802-1809. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 465 pages
