First printing with the copyright page statement and the same date on title and copyright pages, however this is an ex-library copy that has been rebound in plain black cloth-covered boards; this has reduced the size of the book, so that the dust jacket is now about 1/4" taller than the book. In addition to the typical library stamps and markings to first and last few pages, the first four leaves of text have long tears and smaller chips (no text loss, but several lines of text are affected), there are bumping and rubbing to edges, with tiny tears/slight fraying to cloth at spine ends/corners, few small stains to covers, soiling and staining to text block edges and to many pages inside, creasing to many pages, short tears at edges of a few. Jacket has long splits along spine and folds, held closed with small pieces of tape to backside, several chips and tears, creasing, rubbing and soiling, light sunning. Binding remains surprisingly firm with no cracked hinges, original price intact on jacket front flap. Dust jacket now protected in a removable, clear, archival sleeve. ; Small 8vo; 183 pages
