1 Handy, W. C. (editor; introduction by Abbe Niles) BLUES An Anthology
New York Albert & Charles Boni 1926 First Edition Hardcover VG-/NONE Illustrated by Miguel Covarrubias Signed by Author
INSCRIBED by Handy on front free endpaper to previous owner and dated Oct. 5 1926 in New York. Two newspaper clippings also pasted to ffe, one an announcement of an event "in celebration of the book's publication" at which Handy was to lead the orchestra, the other a brief article reporting his hospitalization after an injury; these clippings have discolored the endpapers. Navy cloth over spine, purple cloth over boards, lighter blue stamped titles in art deco style font. Cloth at spine ends fraying a bit and with short tears, lighter wear to corners, light insect damage and soiling to text block edges, light soiling and rubbing to covers, including a few small faint waterspots (largest ~3/8" diameter near upper rear corner). No dust jacket.; B&W Illustrations; 4to; 180 pages; Signed by Author
