Here's How We Feel About Frank Whitbeck Hollywood The Fox West Coasters 1931 First Edition Hardcover VG+/NONE Padded leather with bright gilt lettering on the front and spine. Gilt turn-ins and a form of marbled endpapers. Bound-in cloth book mark with tassles. Date on lower spine reads, "April 25, 1931". Printed on very heavy paper, untrimmed fore edges. This is a tribute to Frank Whitbeck who was leaving Fox for MGM. He was the longtime chief of publicity at MGM and narrated hundreds of theatrical trailers while there. This book contains tributes, both serious and very humorous, from dozens of of co-workers and staff at Fox Theaters. At the rear pastedown is a label from Bookbinders Corporation, Ltd., Los Angeles. The book is laid into a clamshell box that is splitting at the spine and worn around the edges. All original and likely a one-of-a-kind book. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 100 pages
